The mission of the Parks Department is to provide safe, creative, and enjoyable parks for the entire population of Cornelius.

Announcements

Our new Park Shelter Reservation Policy has been approved by City Council as of 01-05-26. Please visit the Park Reservation Information page for more information, and to apply online for 2026 reservations.

Park Updates

  • The Off-Leash Dog Park, located at Water Park, is available seasonally and closed for the Winter.
  • Overlook Park, located on N 19th Avenue, is closed for the Winter.
