Free Sandbags

Public Works (1300 S Kodiak Cir) offers seasonal, free sandbag pick up for Cornelius residents to use in case of flooding. Bags are provided on site, and you fill them at the self-service station in our parking lot (pictured below). Please only take what you need, and note that these sandbag supplies are for emergency use only.

Safety Concerns

If someone outside is unsheltered and their life appears to be in danger, call 911.

If you are concerned about someone during cold weather, call Washington County Non-Emergency at (503) 629-0111 to request a welfare check.

Weather Closures & Delays

All City of Cornelius facilities are open on regular schedules.

When closures do occur, essential and remote services continue and the latest updates on all facility schedules will be posted here. During severe weather, check this website for updates before you head out.
