City Recorder

Think of the City Recorder as the keeper of the city’s story! From preserving official records to ensuring transparency in government, this role is all about keeping things organized, accessible, and running smoothly.

The City Recorder is responsible for:

  • Keeping track of City Council meeting minutes, agendas, and official records.
  • Helping residents and staff find important public documents.
  • Managing city elections and making sure the process is fair and transparent.
  • Overseeing the municipal code and city charter (basically, the city’s rulebook!)
  • Posting public notices so everyone stays informed.
  • Swearing in elected officials and making sure they’re ready to serve.

Whether you’re looking for an old ordinance, need a public record, or just want to know what’s happening at the next City Council meeting, the City Recorder’s Office is here to help!
