Friends of the Cornelius Library members and volunteers are dedicated to supporting the library through volunteer activities, donations, and fundraising to help the library be a successful part of the community.
The Friends are funded by annual dues paid by members and by proceeds from used book and t-shirt sales. Other funding comes from project grants and partner programs like Fred Meyer Rewards and BottleDrop.
The Friends of the Library provide critical funding for special programs, including:
- Annual Summer Reading Challenge
- Special children's programs and supplies
- Technology
- Cultural celebrations
- Lectures
- Grant matching

- You can join, renew, and upgrade your membership through the Friends PayPal account.
- You can also set memberships to automatically renew each year.

Volunteer with the Friends
- Participate in governance on the Board
- Sort and stock used book donations for sale
- Attend community events to promote the Friends and Library
- Support special library events by introducing presenters, serving refreshments, and doing set up/clean up
- Write small grants in collaboration with the library
- Participate in fun, exciting, and unique fundraisers.
