Weather Closures & Delays

All City of Cornelius facilities will close at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 13th, due to inclement weather.

• The City Hall (City Manager's Office/Utility Billing), and Public Works/Community Development offices will be closed at 10:00 am.
• The Cornelius Public Library will be closed at 10:00 am. 
• The Fire Department will respond to emergency and service calls as usual. Administrative Offices will be closed. Emergency access to 911 is available via phones at each of our front doors.
• The Police Department will operate and respond to calls as usual. Administrative Offices will be closed. Emergency access to 911 is available via phones at each of our front doors.

When closures do occur, essential and remote services continue and the latest updates on all facility schedules will be posted here. During severe weather, check this website for updates before you head out.
